Daily life
A school day, a weekend and the rules on phones. The same order every weekday, so boys know what comes next and parents know where they are.
A weekday

The weekend
Weekends have their own programme. Boarding staff are on duty at weekends.
- Saturday
- A lighter day: study, sport and laundry.
- Sunday
- A day of rest and of getting ready for the week ahead. On the last Sunday of each month, parents are welcome to visit.
- Staying on campus
- Boys do not leave campus at weekends. During term a boy leaves school only with his parents’ written permission.
- Going home
- Boys go home at the end of each term and at the mid-term break, when they may also stay at school. Parents collect their sons.
Sport
Every weekday afternoon has time for sport and free time.
Football is the main sport, and boys also play volleyball.
Phones and devices
Parents want to hear from their son, and boys need quiet time to study. Here is how calls and devices work at Olgun.
- Can he keep a phone?
- No. Phones are handed in on arrival and kept by the boarding master. Boys get them back for the holidays.
- When does he call home?
- A boy can call home on the boarding house phone between activities, whenever he asks.
- Laptops and other devices
- Boys may not bring laptops, tablets or other electrical devices, and do not use the internet at school.
- If you need him urgently
- Call or WhatsApp the boarding office on +255 704 008 932. Ahmet Salim answers this number, also outside office hours.
Come and see the school.
Walk the classrooms and dormitories, meet the teachers and ask your questions in person.
